ARCHIVED VERSION 2026-10-19 · EFFECTIVE 19 October 2026
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of gradingspace.com, an AI-assisted assessment service operated by the gradingspace.com product team. By explicitly accepting these terms during account onboarding, you agree to them and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not enter the workspace. Contact gradingspace@gmail.com, our current support contact, with questions.
Accounts and access
Use a Google account you control and provide accurate registration information. Teacher registration does not automatically grant access: administrator approval remains required. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and authorized to use the service for the materials you submit. Do not share your account, impersonate another person or attempt to access another teacher's workspace. Existing users without a recorded acceptance will be asked to accept once; a later sign-in does not require acceptance again while the accepted version remains current.
Your materials and permissions
You retain your rights in materials you submit. You grant the service only the permission needed to store, process and display those materials and requested results through its service providers. You are responsible for having the rights, lawful basis, institutional permission and required notices or consents for student work and personal data. Do not upload unnecessary sensitive information, unlawful content, malware or materials you are prohibited from transferring to the processing locations or providers described in the Privacy Policy.
AI assists; educators decide
AI output is a proposed evaluation, not an authoritative academic decision. It can be incomplete, inaccurate or inconsistent. Review each criterion, evidence reference, mark and recommendation before relying on it or sharing it with students. You remain responsible for final grades, accommodations, fairness, appeals and compliance with institutional assessment rules. The service does not guarantee detection of plagiarism or AI authorship, native-file fidelity, full video/audio analysis or execution-based validation. Never treat unread or unsupported evidence as verified.
Plans, storage and payments
Available features, storage allowances and AI usage limits depend on your account and the controls displayed in the service. A Free account does not imply unlimited AI processing or storage. Where the Free-course restriction is enabled, the first course remains the account's Free course and deleting it does not renew the entitlement. Paid service is available only when checkout is actually enabled. Before purchase, checkout must disclose the applicable price, currency, billing interval and taxes. A recurring subscription renews according to its checkout terms until cancelled; available billing-portal controls govern cancellation. Mandatory consumer rights and any refund rights required by law are unaffected. This page does not itself enable a plan or take a payment.
Retention, exports and deletion
Keep your own copies of original submissions and important assessment results. Stored originals and metadata follow the separate controls and limitations described in the Privacy Policy. Course removal is not account erasure and does not automatically remove every original or historical job record. Interrupted processing may leave temporary transfers requiring cleanup. We do not guarantee indefinite availability, recovery of deleted content or an automatic retention period.
Acceptable use
Do not interfere with the service, evade access or usage limits, expose transfer capabilities, upload malicious files, resell unauthorized access or use the service for unlawful discrimination or other illegal conduct. Uploaded documents are assessment evidence, not authority to change system instructions or access controls. We may limit or suspend access to protect users, address abuse or meet legal obligations. Suspension does not itself erase retained records.
Availability and limitations
Features can change and requests can fail or be interrupted. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted operation, perfect accuracy or suitability for every assessment. Do not rely on it as your only gradebook or backup. We are not responsible for decisions made solely from unreviewed AI output or for loss caused by unauthorized sharing of your account or file links, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricts mandatory statutory rights.
Ending use and resolving concerns
You can stop using the service, cancel any enabled recurring subscription through its billing controls and request account erasure through the team. Stopping use alone does not cancel billing or delete stored data. Contact the team first about service, billing or privacy concerns so we can identify the account and investigate. These terms do not select a court or jurisdiction or waive rights available under applicable law.
Changes and acceptance records
The database records your account identifier, the accepted terms and privacy versions, and the server-recorded time of acceptance. Repeating the same acceptance request does not replace the original timestamp. We may ask you to accept a new published version after material changes. Acceptance is separate from Google sign-in, teacher approval and any permission your institution must obtain from students.
